Physical Education (PE)

We use an excellent scheme called Get Set 4 PE in order to deliver our PE curriculum. This ensures consistency of approach from all teachers, regardless of their physical ability or understanding of the different skills needed across all aspects of the PE curriculum.
Although our school grounds are small, we teach all of our sports lessons on either Tubbs Turf, or the local playing fields. This gives us the opportunity to use grounds that are superior to those found on most primary school sites, and we are extremely grateful for this.
We are also very lucky to work closely with Katherine Lady Berkeley's School, and local primary schools in order to take part in a host of sporting competitions, giving us access to their superb sports resources.

Our commitment to health and wellbeing can also be seen though the range of sporting clubs that we are able to put on for our children for free, outside of school hours. These have included football with Forest Green Rovers, cricket club, hockey club and our ever popular cross-country club.
It would seem that all of this hard work is having a positive effect because we achieved first place as a small school in the local schools cross country championships this year!
