We welcome new families to Kingswood Primary School, both at the beginning of their primary time in Reception, as well as those that move during their time in the primary phase. The details below show the admission arrangements for children starting Reception in 2024. It is vital to us that children who join Kingswood School are as excited to join as we are to have them! In order for this to happen, we plan a range of transition activities for you and your child to take part in during Term 5 and 6. We are also on hand to give any advice or support that you might need to complete the forms necessary to start our school.

If you are interested in joining our school within the academic year, we are also able to offer a wide range of support. Initially, we would offer you a visit to the school and discussion with the headteacher about the school. Following on from that, we would offer your child some 'taster' days to ensure that they were fully happy to join us. Our administration team have experience in completing in-year admissions and will be able to advise you on the process.

Our Published Admissions Number (how many children we admit in each year group) is 17. This gives us a potential school population of 119 children.

For children joining us in Reception at the start of a school year, we arrange several induction sessions to help acclimatise the children to life at school. We also hold an information evening for parents and carers with the opportunity to meet the staff who will be looking after your children.

Admission to Reception at Primary School for September 2026

Applications for 2026 intake will need to be submitted between November 2025 and 15th January 2026.
