Mrs Wendy Collins - Headteacher

I am proud to be the headteacher at Kingswood Primary School. In the past I have worked in schools across Hertfordshire, Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Gloucestershire. I love teaching and consider it a privilege to have a part in developing the lives of children.

I am also the Designated Safeguarding Lead for Kingswood Primary School.

My teaching philosophy is that children learn best when they are happy, in positive relationships with others, and engaging in learning which is stimulating and carefully planned. Children have a natural thirst for knowledge and we have an amazing opportunity to shape their lives and create opportunities that they can build upon as they move into adulthood.

When I am not working, I love spending time with my family and taking my dog Trevor for walks. I also love reading and art, but am not actually very good at drawing! I like visiting art galleries- my favourite artists are Van Gogh and Monet.
