Forest School is not a part of the National Curriculum as a discrete subject, but covers many different areas of the curriculum in a fun and engaging way. It is a child-centred inspirational learning process, that offers opportunities for holistic growth through regular sessions. It is a long-term program that supports play, exploration and supported risk taking. It develops confidence and self-esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences in a natural setting. We have a trained forest school leader and all of the children take part in forest school activities every term. We have a wonderful forest school site beside the Community Orchard in Kingswood- just a short walk away from the school.
