Mrs Collins Considers...

Community

The photograph attached to this blog may not look particularly exciting, but it represents one of the most important aspects of life at Kingswood School- community.

This is our new laptop trolley that now houses fifteen brand-new laptops. As a small school, purchasing such expensive items would be very difficult without the support of our local community. Our school council held a cake sale which raised a substantial amount of money, alongside a private charitable donation, and donations from Renishaw and the John Mayo Trust. Yesterday, The Village Inn held a quiz night that raised funds for the KSA (Kingswood School Association)- another amazing group of volunteers who raise money towards many of our school projects.

These acts of generosity will enable us to teach our new computing curriculum more effectively and will ultimately improve our pupils ability to work effectively in the modern world. We really are lucky to be part of Kingswood Village!
