Geography

The children learn about geography in a two-year cycle as they progress through our school. We love learning this subject because it helps us to:
  • Analyse information, interpret data, and draw conclusions.

  • Understand the world, its environments and places near and far, and the processes that create and affect them.

  •  Understand and try to resolve issues about the environment and sustainable development.

  • Develop skills, such as research, observation, measurement, recording and presentation.

  • Understand how humans interact with the environment and the impact of their actions.

Geography is a subject area where we have been able to really embed our core curriculum values of diversity, relationships, environment and changes.

The teachers from Kingswood Primary School have been working with geography teachers from Katherine Lady Berkeley's School to develop opportunities for fieldwork. Our KS2 pupils hav been very fortunate to be able to take part in these this year.
