Each child's class teacher is the "key worker" for that individual. Intervention work happens under the direction of the class teacher, with support and monitoring from the SENCO and headteacher.
Where the implementation of the support is carried out by teaching assistants(learning partners), the success of sessions is shared with the class teacher and next steps are planned.
Teaching assistants (Learning Partners) often work 1:1 and in small groups, both within and outside of the classroom to support children on the SEND register.
The SENCO maintains a register of children with SEND and monitors the delivery of the interventions.
Every staff meeting begins with a discussion about children of concern and this, where appropriate, includes children with SEND.
