Year 5 have been learning the skills and qualities needed to lead games with groups to help learning across the school, including at playtimes to engage others in activities and encourage social interaction. Here is a report from Kyra and Iris:
“On the 9th October, Year 5s did play leader training with Mrs Bates from KLB all day. First we discussed SOCCER (safety, organisation, communication, co-ordination, enjoyment and responsibility).
Next, we talked about the leaders in the world and the qualities of being a leader. In the afternoon we led Maple Class and did lots of activities with them such as duck, duck goose, the bean game and relay races. Everyone had a very fun day!”
