We are delighted to announce that, for the third time in the last four years, Kingswood have been selected to exhibit in the National Gallery in London as part of the Take One Picture project. Some of the hats created by the children in response to the painting by Paolo Uccello, along with supporting information and artwork, will be on display there from 17th June to 12th September 2021.
Only thirty schools across England have been selected, and we are one of only four from the southwest. To achieve this accolade on three occasions is remarkable for a small village primary school and a tribute to the creativity of our children and the dedication of our staff team. A particular thanks must go to Mrs Hunt, Mrs Copeland and Mrs Nowell for leading the project last year. Take One Picture forms an important part of our school ethos and a gateway to open our children up to great artworks and culture.

We are already planning for next year’s project, with staff having attended training from the gallery and started to formulate ideas to share with the children in the second half of this term.
